Hey everyone,
I am glad to hear everything is going good back home. Today is my first P day and the computer lab is packed with people trying to Email home. It is really funny that we were all so excited that on P day we get a whole 5 hours that we get to choose what to do and now none of us can think of anything to do except Email our family at home and do our laundry. I did my laundry on Tuesday to beat the rush so I have even less options. My companion Elder Novotny is from the Czech Republic. He speaks really good English but occasionally I teach some of our stranger sayings, like what it means when the Brits and the Americans say they are pumped or stoked.
The MTC president says that our group set a new record for the most missionaries ever to enter the Preston MTC in a single day. Preston England is a Pretty special place not only is it where Gordon B Hinkley served his mission (they have his missionary plaque down stairs) Preston is also this first place outside of north america that the restored gospel was taught. Here in Preston the church has this little kind of compound surrounded by a brick wall and inside is where the temple, the stake center, the MTC and just about anything else you can think of, are all right here in this little area.
Of the 7 full days that I have been here it has not rained 2 of those days. Because it rains so much, everything here is lush and green the only thing I can think of to compare it to is the garden of Eden. Well I better rap this up, there 20 other missionaries that need to write their families.
I love you all I am having a great time. I will write again on my next P day and I will attempt to send you some Pictures
Elder Purser
P.S. please excuse any mistakes in this letter i had to write really fast so the other missionaries could get a turn.
